1" or 3/4" Natural Indigo Dyed Vegtan Dog Collar

The edges are beveled, and burnished smooth with bees wax. Hand dyed in natural indigo like my vat dyed indigo belt. Being that dogs have so much natural oil in their fur, leather collars tend to patina wildly on them. The indigo collar is expected to darken with wear. Some rub-off may occur on lighter colored dogs, if that happens, it won't be harmful or permanent. *Indigo varies in hue and saturation, most likely the collar will be darker than the pictured example because my use with indigo has improved since the photos were taken.If you choose the option, you will receive a hand stamped solid brass name tag, with your dog's name and your contact phone number should you desire. The Pigeon Tree stamped leather tag is included with all tagged collars, and has the added effect of dampening the sound of the name tag against the license tag if you place it in between the two.Leather measures 1" or 3/4", and is 9-10oz thick. Promised to develop a rich and beautiful patina and will last a lifetime.The buckle is fastened with solid brass Pigeon Tree branded rivets.Follow the instructions from the measurement guide photo above to measure your dogs current collar and add the measurements to the comments when you place your order. If you're getting a collar for a dog that does not have a collar yet, measure the circumference of the neck.Indigo is not color-fast and may leave traces of dye on your dog if they have a light colored coat. It will not permanently stain your pup, and is non-toxic.
