Originally cultivated in Argentina by Italian immigrants, these creamy white beans are now favored in Italian cuisine. Cannellini Pole Bean has vigorous climbing vines loaded with pods; we planted a four-foot row and were impressed by the quantity and the flavor of the green pods before they fatten up on their way to the drying stage. 50 seeds PLANTING Phaseolus vulgaris Germination: 4-10 days Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-85ºF Seed Sowing Depth: 1” deep Sowing Outdoors: After the last frost with soil temperatures above 60ºF. Sow 2-3” apart. Planting in soil under 60ºF results in poor germination.
