The Bitter End

A fiery tomato red jelly base with silver holo microflakes.  I wanted to round out the collection with 10 polishes, and since the last line repeats the previous line of the song, I chose to pay tribute to Denethor’s tomato and funeral pyre at the same time with this polish. Photos show two coats with glossy topcoat.  While the flakes in this polish are very thin and lie flat on the nail, the polish dries a bit dull without topcoat. Note that holographic polishes show their rainbow sparkle best under a source of bright, direct light, such as natural sunlight or a halogen bulb lamp.  Swatch photos are taken in direct lighting, with a glossy topcoat, to best show the holo effect. In most holo polishes, there will still be some sparkle in indoor lighting, but the strong holo rainbow effect may be muted or not show up.
