PIVOT Oak Headboard

Our oak headboards add an understated class to your PIVOT Bed, and your room as a whole. CNC-cut from Crown Cut European Oak veneered Birch Plywood, PEFC Certified material. Birch is the best wood to use as the 'core' of plywood, but it's not the most beautiful of wood grains. Hence we use high-quality, birch-core plywood with a beautiful oak veneer on both sides. We create a nice, smooth bevel on all the edges, and use exposed-edges of the plywood for a lovely, subtle aesthetic. After cutting it goes to a local specialist to expertly coat it. Currently we have the Dark Oak ('Jacobean') colour, which involves staining the wood before applying the hardwearing, clear lacquer. We will soon have examples to share in natural, light oak colour, which only have the clear lacquer with no stain applied. The coating process involves multiple coats and sanding in between.
