Summer Class: Introduction to AP US History

Course Overview A comprehensive program designed for high school students who are passionate about exploring the rich tapestry of American history. This course is ideal for those preparing to take the Advanced Placement (AP) US History exam or wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the United States' past and its impact on the present and future. Key Concepts  In this course, students will embark on a chronological journey through American history, exploring key events, figures, and themes from the pre-Columbian era to the present day. We cover significant periods including the founding of the United States, the Constitution, early republic, Civil War, Reconstruction, industrialization, World Wars, the Cold War, and contemporary America. Who Should Take This Course Students in 10th to 12th grade who have a foundational understanding of U.S. history and are looking to delve deeper into the subject.
