Sweet Sandals for 13-14.5" Dolls

When it came time for taking pictures of my doll outfits for sale this summer, I just couldn't find what I was looking for in my collection of shoes, so I created my own! These adorable sandals delighted me to no end, so I thought I’d share that joy with other seamstresses and doll clothes creators! The insoles are fabric-covered cardboard, the strap and heel are lined fabric, and the trim is made from fabric-wrapped cardstock (or you can use your own purchased trim). The example in the photo-illustrated steps is finished with a double-layered white flower backed by green leaves, but I’ll give some design advice as you consider your fabric choices.
