Materials: Miyuki glass, electroplated hematite, 14K gold filled. About the Work: "Hand beading lends itself to a bohemian aesthetic. My design is a literal take on the abortion issue. I hand beaded the glass portion in various shades representing skin tones. The colored beads are woven in square patterns like a quilt. As I remember from my childhood growing up in South Georgia, my great aunts used to make most of their quilts in square patterns. The pink lines are an abstract (+) sign for positive pregnancy test.
