Philodendron cordatum ‘Brasil’ (Low Light Tolerant)
This lovely variegated philodendron has large, bold and irregular swatches of green, chartreuse, and shades in between. No leaf is exactly the same! This is a vining plant that can either cascade or be trained to climb if given support. Philodendron are a tropical, vining plant native to tropical forests! They belong in the Araceae (Aroid) family along with Monstera, Epipremnum, and other aroids. In nature, they are found growing up trees, anchoring in place with aerial roots. As the plant matures and gains more height/stability, their leaves can get much larger. GENERAL CARE: While considered “Low Light Tolerant”, for best color and performance, these philodendron grow well when provided brighter, indirect light. Allow soil to dry between watering, provide a pole or support to climb, and plant in a well-draining, aroid potting substrate.
