Calathea lancifolia (Pet Friendly)

Calathea lancifolia has longer than wide, lance-shaped leaves with a vivid green on green pattern on the top and deep burgundy purple color on the undersides. Striking plant that is very popular and one of the more “durable” Calathea.  GENERAL CARE Calathea prefer indirect light and watering when the soil begins to feel dry, with a very brief “dry-out” period between watering. Plant in a well-draining potting soil with adequate drainage. As forest floor jungle plants, Calathea grow best in higher humidity, so place near other plants, a humidifier, or in a well-lit bathroom or kitchen with higher moisture in the air.  BONUS: Calathea are considered Pet-Friendly!
