Chinese Chestnut (Castenea mollissima) These seedling trees are productive of medium-large size good quality nuts. Native to China and Korea they typically grow about 30 to 50 feet tall with a spreading rounded crown.Good resistance to chestnut blight and is used extensively in cross-breeding with European and American chestnuts for this reason. Widely cultivated in Asia. Hardy zones 4-9. Our Chinese Chestnut trees are sold in 4x10 pots.
