Fall Gold Raspberry

Developed by Dr. Lewis Darby in 1972 at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva. This everbearing primocane variety produces golden-yellow berries on vigorous, thornless canes reaching 4-5 feet tall. Extremely winter hardy (to -20°F) and well-adapted to northern gardens. Large, golden-yellow berries with very sweet, honey-like flavor. Firmer and juicier than typical yellow raspberries. Fruit ripens July-September with two crops per season. Excellent for fresh eating, preserves, and freezing. Released 1972 as a breakthrough in yellow raspberry breeding, combining the sweetness of yellow varieties with classic raspberry flavor and reliable production. Quickly gained popularity among commercial growers and home gardeners for its unique color and exceptional taste.
