This little known small attractive ornamental tree is native to China and produces two inch long seed pods that contain many pea sized seeds which are sweet and good to eat. Large dark green leaves with many graceful leaflets are accented in spring by pretty yellow- white flowers. Flowers, leaves and nuts are all edible.
