Elk Blue California Gray Rush

Juncus patens 'Elk Blue' is a selection of California Gray Rush that has very narrow, rounded, blue-grey stems. This stiffly upright, evergreen grass-like plant adds a fine texture to the garden. Brown clusters of tiny inconspicuous flowers appear in summer. Elk Blue California Gray Rush is widely adaptable to a variety of habitats and soils. Plant alongside ponds, streams, or in containers where it will get regular water or in a dry shade garden where it is drought tolerant once established. Useful in bioswales or rain gardens planted in mass, border, or as an accent.
