Pink Lady® Apple Tree

Pink Lady®Apple Tree (also known as Cripps Pink) is a self-fruitful, dessert apple variety celebrated for its crisp texture, sweet-tart flavor, and an effervescent finish, reminiscent of sparkling cider in every bite. Recognizable by its vibrant reddish-pink skin, the white flesh resists browning, making it an ideal choice for fresh eating. This modern apple, Malus domestica 'Cripps Pink', was developed in Western Australia from a cross between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams. It thrives in hot climates, requiring 300-400 chill hours and a long growing period. Strong autumn sunlight is crucial for developing its signature pink coloration. Pink Lady® apples mature later than most varieties. In California, fall harvest begins in late October, about three weeks after Fuji. The fruit has a long storage life, and its quality improves as the tree matures. The Pink Lady® apple tree is moderately vigorous, with large leaves, and retains its foliage well into winter.
