Santa Ana Cardinal Heuchera
Heuchera ‘Santa Ana Cardinal’ is a beautiful Coral Bell that will add a pop of color in your California garden with its shiny green leaves and a profusion of deep rosy-red flower clusters on dainty 2 ft. tall stems. This evergreen California native hybrid is a cross between the Alum Root (Heuchera maxima) and the Coral Bell (Heuchera sanguinea) that was selected for the garden and introduced by Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens in 1958. Heuchera ‘Santa Ana Cardinal’ is a fast growing, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with green lobed leaves that provide a nice backdrop to the striking deep pink-red flowers that bloom from spring to early summer. The vivid flower color brightens up the shady garden. Naturally found in shaded canyons, cliffs, and under oak trees, Santa Ana Cardinal Heuchera is a beautiful addition in a woodland garden with dry shade. This Coral Bell also grows well in coastal gardens or containers. Plant in large groupings for a dramatic display of color. Heuchera
