After escaping from a cruel orphanage, siblings Lily and Albert run away to a beach where they make a den out of driftwood. Lily hopes the fresh sea air will help Albert’s cough, and they soon settle in to their new home. Seventy years later, a new pair of siblings named Peter and Hazel discover the den, and a mysterious boy named Tom who loves to dance with his invisible friend. Hazel and Tom become fast friends, but Peter is too old for the silly games they play. When the children find an old woman wandering around the den, Peter puts Tom’s friendship to the test. This mystical play set on the stormy English coast explores the power of children’s imaginations, and the bond between siblings.-- Creators Brendan Murray, playwright   Details 30 pgs. 3 female, 3 male Originally produced in Sheffield, UK, in 1989Run Time: 60 minutes (Can be cut to an abridged version for competition)Audience Recommendation: 6+ Performances licenses are only available in North America
