The ST-R8150 electronic shift/brake levers 2x12-speed brake mechanically. It scores with fast gear changes that are defined and intuitive thanks to the Shimano index shifting system. Cables are routed from the STIs first to a junction box and then to the battery, which in turn is connected to the rear derailleur and front derailleur. You can also connect the STIs to each other and run a cable from the right shifter to the battery. The ergonomics of the dual-control levers and the horns have been further optimized compared to previous models and allow for a very comfortable grip.
