 This is not a good starting place to learn Programmable Logic Controllers. It assumes that the reader already understands basic programming and that they are upgrading to the Logix Engine and the Logix Engines HCI (Human Controller Interface) RSLogix5000. We do not repeat the same concepts in this manual that we covered in the “Complete PACLearn Series - Fundamental Programming & Programming Examples” the black and blue set of manuals. Review the table of contents in the library of images for this product. There are projects in this manual that you may not be able to execute if you do not have the appropriate hardware and software such as motion and programming languages...but you will learn nonetheless. The projects were executed with Revision 20 and you will notice subtle differences if you are using a later revision level but you will be able to sort it out.
