Detour Records Detour Records are proud to announce after 30 years of waiting, the release by Leatherheads finest band, The Heads’ new album ‘STILL Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead’. The Head were formed out of the ashes of Punk and with the trappings of Mod, in the summer of 1978 in Leatherhead, Surrey. The album features the ‘infamous’ double A sided single and now highly sought after collectors item ‘Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead’ / ‘University’79’. The original single was released, as a limited pressing of 1000 on the 12 January 1980, on the Ellie Jay label as aMolebeat Production. ‘Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead’ became a local hit and ‘University’79’ was regularly played by John Peel on Radio One and by London’s Capital Radio. Now valued at over £60 by the Rare Record Price Guide 2008, the single sporadically appears on e-bay to this day and regularly sells for over twice the valuation price.
