Mean Bean Records Ok, we know you’ve heard the word “Hit!” more than once from us in the past and maybe you think it’s getting old. But fact is we have once again unearthed some incredible gems that will instantly become your new (old) favorite single! From Long Island, New York, The Yardleys managed to put out three singles in their rather short but highly inspiring career that took them touring all over Europe under the management of Clive V. Epstein – the surviving brother of Brian Epstein, the man who managed The Beatles during their meteoric rise to fame. Gracing the same legendary club stage at the Liverpool Cavern as The Beatles did, The Yardleys were actually the very last band to perform at the club before it shut down. The group also performed at the second iteration of the infamous “Star Club” in Hamburg, Germany. As everyone knows, the original Star Club launched The Beatles European career so what better venue to inspire the band to write their song “Starclub”? Avid Power
