Reclaimed 1x8 Shiplap Barn wood, Old-Growth Douglas Fir, Sourced from 1905 WA Heritage barn
The ship lap was milled locally (circular saw marks are visible on most pieces) from old-growth Douglas Fir trees sourced in the near vicinity. It has been kept safe from the elements for dozens and dozens of years, and protected with large, 100 lb size burlap feed sacks laid carefully over the floor's surface when stacking hay on it. These amazing boards/ planks feature a gorgeous, semi- knotty look with slightly wavy/ dancing, strong vertical grain. Once washed, the color ranges from a light sandy gold to bright, vibrant red-oranges. Beautiful, weathered patinas are found on each and every perfectly preserved 1"x8" board, the kind only found on Old-Growth Douglas Fir from Pacific NW barns. The ship lap planks mostly retain a genuine amber tone, but range a little more on the rich brown side in certain cases.
