Septarian Sphere 3"
Septarian is not rare and is widely available and can abundantly be spotted in England, New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Canada, Madagascar, and the United States. Mostly the stone colors vary from Gray, Black, Gold, and Yellow. Some Pieces even have UV reactive calcite growth. Pre-existing dated back to the earth’s cretaceous period, Septarian is also widely known as dragon stone. Its nodules or the humps are from the Latin word Septum in English translation means “seven, to wall closed together.” Septarian results from the perfect blending between mineral compounds like Calcite, Argonite, Barite, and Limestone. Each brings various formation and color distributions depending on the amount of compound each septarian would take, thus creating unique and peculiar designs and forms. Some believe that in ancient times, Septarian is used as a powerful talisman, as it has assisted humans in fighting off diseases while strengthening the body.
