Well, the name pretty much gives this one away. Bees, butterflies, other beneficial insects, even hummingbirds love to come and drink the nectar of this stunning medicinal wildflower. This flower is native to North America, so you can expect to see native bumble bees foraging among the summer blooms. Steal a few flowering stems from the bees for a cut flower, or use the edible, tubular flowers in a tasty tea. Blooms the second year after sowing. Grows 3-4′ tall. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Days to Maturity: 90 Companion Plants: Cucumbers, Elecampane, Squash, Tomatoes, Yarrow Open Pollinated (OP) Plant Spacing: 18" Photo credit: Adaptive Seeds
