Pepper, Party Popper Jalapeño

You know when "party" is in the name, it's bound to be fun...right? Enter the Party Popper Jalapeño.  Plump, productive, early and spicy.  Use the green fruit for salsa or Jalapeño poppers!!  This variety has a nice smooth, green skin that is slow to check and resists anthocyanin purple blushing.   Fun, slightly rounded shaped, 3 – 3 1/2″ long fruit are perfect for stuffing and roasting. These compact plants produce a concentrated set of thick-walled fruit and most fruit turns red before frost.  Fun fact: Concentrates (in Milwaukie) used our Party Popper Jalapeño plants in one of their potting soil comparison trials (using Pittmoss vs Seacoast Potting Soil) in 2024 and they were harvesting peppers thru October!!!  Like all peppers, plants will thrive in full sun and well-draining, fertile soil.  Mulch at the base of the plant to retain soil moisture throughout the summer.  Great for containers! SHU (Scoville Heat Units): 5,000.    Days to Harvest: 65 days to green, 85 days to red Comp
