Pepper, Limón Lightning
I grew Limón Lightning peppers last year for the first time. BIG fan! This variety was bred from Adaptive Seeds, crossed by an orange habanero with a pale yellow Aji Limon-type pepper. So, fruity & hot in flavor, and abundant producers of fruit! How to use the peppers? I've used them in a cajun hot sauce, pickled peppers and seasoning. Absolutely love them in every format i've tried! Bright, bold yellow peppers ripen mid-August thru October/November, fall weather dependent. Short and wide plants produce a canopy of high yields of slender peppers that average 2 ½” long by ¾” wide. Fave color combos: Limón Lightning Pepper + Purple Basil Limón Lightning Pepper + Raspberry Burst Tomato Limón Lightning Pepper + Calendula Peppers thrive in full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. They will benefit from a phosphorus fertilizer once they start flowering. Mulch at the base of the plant to retain soil moisture throughout the summer. Great for containers! SHU (Scovi
