Pepper, Stocky Red Roaster
This Italian-type red pepper has an amazing sweet flavor when raw, roasted or cooked. It's super productive and the size is well, stocky (4-7" long, 2" wide at the shoulders). This red beauty was selected for its straight, uncrumpled sides, smooth skin, thicker walls and rich red color. Roasts like a boss and the skin is super easy to remove, and yet the thicker flesh also holds up really well to fire. Fun fact, this pepper variety actually inspired the creation of the Culinary Breeding Network. And, it was developed by Frank Morton of Wild Garden Seed (amazing seed company in the Willamette Valley).
