Thrummed Mittens

Seriously... Warmest. Mittens. Ever. Known as "Thrummed Mittens", the original fleece-stuffed mittens pattern came via Labrador and Newfoundland in Eastern Canada.  Small pieces of wool roving are knit into the stitches to create a thick, fleecy lining.  The main yarn is wool/mohair mix.  You really have to maneuver your hands when you first put them on, BUT... as the mittens are worn, the "thrums" felt together, creating a lining of durable warm, thick wool.
