Tall and elegant in a container garden or gracing the edge of a pond, Snow Beauty Lotus will add beauty and grace as well as tranquility and peace to your water feature.  Planting Instructions Plant this tall lotus variety in a wide, no holes container (24 - 48 inches in diameter) using loam soil. Fill your lotus container 2/3 full of loam soil. Dig a shallow trench in the soil and place the lotus tuber in the trench taking care not to bruise or damage the growth tips. Cover the tuber with two inches of soil while leaving the growth tips exposed. Gently add 4 - 6 inches of water above the soil and place container outdoors where it will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily. Do not add fertilizer until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.
