Spring Cherry Lotus is simply a delight! Planting Instructions Plant this lotus in a wide container (ten inches wide or wider) using loam soil. Fill your no holes lotus container 2/3 full of loam soil. Dig a shallow trench on the surface of the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench. Cover the tuber with an inch of soil while leaving the growth tips exposed. Add two inches of water above the soil and place outdoors in the sun where your lotus will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily. Do not fertilize until you have aerial leaves growing
