There was a period of time where I would need a reset in the middle of the day - typically after working several straight hours on the computer. I would take a short 30 minute nap and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the afternoon. Something about napping during the day made me feel lazy so I brought it up to my ADHD coach. She helped me re-frame the nap as something that worked for me and if it worked for me, then so be it. I began to think of my naps as essential, like a lunch break would be, and now I have far less guilt when taking them.
