Alex gathers inspiration from the Sonoran Desert, celebrating both the original settlement of Cukson, as well as the modern city of Tucson. • 3 Levels: Depicts three important figures in Tohono O'odham culture: Jewed Makai (bottom left figure), I'itoi (Eagle), and Bañ (Coyote), as interpreted by the artist from the oral stories, with additional Yoeme cultural elements in the bottom right.
