Blackberry BFL/Silk

Shopping around the Portland Farmer's Market one summer morning, I spotted one lonely pint of wild, Maine blackberries. All of its friends had already been purchased. Om nom nom! *Please note that these are hand-dyed in small batches and colors may vary slightly from braid to braid. A 75/25 blend of BFL and silk. Part of the English Longwool Family, the Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) breed was developed in the early twentieth century. The fiber is fine, with a micron count of 24-28, silky, and lustrous. It’s fine enough to wear next to the skin and durable enough to wear well. Silk adds strength, softness, and shine.
