Sascha Brastoff Midcentury Ceramic Dish
Beautiful Mid-Century designer ceramic teal ashtray by Sascha Brastoff. Originally made in California, this stunning piece features a teal finish with painted detailing on the sides and small rhinestone accenting/detailing. It is signed on the side and stamped on the bottom.It is a unique shape and design with a vented top. Could be used as an ash tray, or small dish to hold items or plant low water requiring succulents. Has some surface scratching as seen in the photos, but no major chips or cracks. Measures - 4" L X 3.5" W X 5.25" H Sascha Brastoff was a well-known ceramic artist and designer who worked in Southern California in the mid-20th century. Brastoff was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1918, and moved to California in the late 1930s to study art and ceramics. After serving in World War II, he opened his own ceramic studio in Los Angeles, where he began to produce his own designs and decorative objects. Brastoff quickly gained recognition for his unique style, which blended ele
