Western Stoneware Crock Monmouth ILL. 2 Gallon

Beautiful and heavy duty 2 gallon Western stoneware Monmouth ILL. crock. This crock was made back in the early 1900's in Monmouth Illinois. It features the maple leaf design. Has a surface chip as seen in the photo that doesn't go all the way through. It is in good condition for its age and weighs close to 15-20 LBs. It would be perfect for a crock collectors collection or partnered with other fun pots out in the garden or patio space. I envision a French or Cape Cod flare with this piece and it will add an authentic touch to any home decor. Crocks of this era were often salt-glazed which gives them their glassy shine with the textured surface. Measures - 9.25" D x 9.25" H
