The Kyiv-Mohyla College was an educational institution that existed in Kyiv from 1632 to 1817. Originally founded by Metropolitan Petro Mohyla as the Kyiv Brotherhood College, it was granted the status of an academy in the second half of the seventeenth century. The future hetmans Yurii Khmelnytskyi, Ivan Vyhovsky, Petro Doroshenko, Pavlo Teteria, Ivan Bryukhovetskyi, Mykhailo Khanenko, Ivan Samoilovych, Ivan Mazepa, Pylyp Orlyk, Danylo Apostol, Ivan Skoropadskyi, and Hetman Pavlo Polubotok were graduates of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
