"A La Place Clichy / Le Premiere Maison du monde pour ses importations orientales / Tapis, Broderies, Armes, Faiences, Etc., Etc." This vintage print advertises the Place de Clichy, one of few cities in France where the four arrondissements meet at a single point. Because of its central location, the city was known as a place where international imports were sold. Such imports--as featured in this poster--included oriental rugs, weapons, and earthenware. Artist: Eugene Samuel Grasset Printer: Malherbe et Cellot Year: 1890 (made) Condition: Very good; please note that this poster is a reproduction of the original from Grasset in 1891. This poster is linen-backed on canvas.
