A La Place Clichy Poster

"A La Place Clichy / Le Premiere Maison du monde pour ses importations orientales / Tapis, Broderies, Armes, Faiences, Etc., Etc."   This vintage print advertises the Place de Clichy, one of few cities in France where the four arrondissements meet at a single point. Because of its central location, the city was known as a place where international imports were sold. Such imports--as featured in this poster--included oriental rugs, weapons, and earthenware.
