"Workers Get Wise! ORGANIZE" 1930s Rebel Arts cardboard poster promoting worker's unions featuring man and woman with fists raised holding banner in blue. Union bug in bottom right. Rebel Arts Group was a left-wing artist’s cooperative based in Greenwich Village, formed in 1934 by a group of students from the Rand School for Social Science in NYC. The school was supported by the Socialist Party, the Workmen's Circle, and other socialist unions. The group was a strong component of the Socialist Party's intersectional arts-activism work as a whole. The group produced plays, music, murals, and more.
