World War I poster with imagery by famed artist Howard Chandler Christy, whose stylized paintings of beautiful women became known as "Christy Girls." The poster shows a woman in a white gown raising the American flag while troops march forward in the background promoting the Third Liberty Loan. "Christy Girls" are still known world-wide for their almost mysterious sensuality and emotive expressions.
