Raku Barnacled Bottle Vase
A one of a kind special treat for Valentine's Day: Raku pots. Raku fired bottle vase in white glaze with red metallic detail around hand built barnacles. A classic hand caved babe figure sits at the center of this alchemical vase reminiscent of a tree stump or forgotten piece of forged metal. Look at this piece from every angle, the details in the effects of the glaze are really special to behold. One of a kind, I can try to replicate, but there will never be another piece quite like this one. Dimensions: 4.5 x 4.5, 11" h A little note: all pieces are hand made and one of a kind. Slight imperfections occur during the creative and firing processes and add to the beauty and individuality of each piece. A note about raku pieces: These pieces are extraordinarily special low fired pieces made with a cohort of fellow potters at a raku firing retreat in the Catskills. The raku firing process creates glaze effects that you can't get from an electric kiln firing alone. Pieces are pulled red hot
