1950's Elgin American Compact Purse Gold Floral Etched In Original Box Excellent Unused Condition

This is a beautiful vintage 1950's Elgin American compact purse in excellent unused condition; in the original box. A great gift for a special occasion this piece features a beautiful floral etched pattern in the gold tone satin finish, with the accents being a high polished finish. The only issue we found is some age related mirror haze and silver loss around the edge of the mirror. The compact has the original unused powder sifter net and Elgin American hallmarked puff. The detailing on the interior is also stunning. Behind the glass mirror is an additional place for a hanky, cash, cigarettes or other essentials. There is an empty lipstick section, and an additional small compartment for small items or change. The black moiré holder is also in excellent condition, with a snap closure pouch on the back for credit cards and has a small additional pocket with a plastic comb.
