Antique Green Guilloche Opera Glasses 1800s Theater Glasses Enamel Binoculars With A French Silk Purse

This is a stunning and rare little pair of antique 1800's emerald green guilloche enamel and brass opera or theater glasses in a French silk purse. The beautiful green guilloche is in wonderful condition, and the action on the glasses is very smooth. They function perfectly and the lenses are clear, with no damage. The only issue we found is a few small chips out of the white mother of pearl eye piece surrounds, and some light hairline cracks to the clear coat enamel that is an overlay to the guilloche.  It does not impair the function or viewing. They also have ever so slight tarnish to the brass.  The glasses measure approximately 3 1/2 inches across the bottom and are 2 inches in height when fully extended.  They are hallmarked Paris and the optometrist name and address on the bridge. The French silk embroidered purse is in good condition, with some light staining to the exterior.  The interior lining is like new, and is hallmarked Made In France Expressly For Hinkelman's.  It has a
