Beaded Fiber Art Bubble Bath Duck

This is a cross stitch duck that I thrifted in its original round yellow plastic frame, and I up-cycled with beads and several fiber arts techniques. Approximate dimensions are 4” by 3.5” with about a 1” depth. Round frame has a 3.5” diameter and a metal hanging loop. The background of the cross stitch was discolored, so I needle felted a blue textured marble background with acrylic roving. I then added a mix of plastic and glass beads to be reminiscent of a bubble bath. I also hand embroidered a small yellow border around the original cross stitch duck, and I glued some cardstock to the back of the frame for neatness and stability. Sourcing: cross stitch duck with yellow frame and embroidery thread sourced secondhand. Beads are a mix of new and secondhand. Acrylic roving and cardstock backing were both purchased new.
