Moringa Drumstick Tree- Moringa oleifera improved high production varieties!

Moringa has been a mainstay food forest species in Florida for many many years due to its extremely high levels of certain vitamins and minerals but in general has been propagated by substandard varieties that are minimally branching and minimally productive without significant coppicing to encourage branching. We offer 2 varieties that were selected in Tamil Nadu in south India, where it's a very popular highly nutritious vegetable, both its horseradish flavored leaves and pods are utilized. These types are much faster to bear pods which have a significantly better flesh to seed ratio making them much more suitable for vegetable use and are low branching, which means much more productive for leaves as well. These types are even grown in more northerly climates as an annual vegetable.  ODC3 was selected in Oddanchatram and is the fastest grower of the two we offer has slightly larger leaves and is a newer cultivar.
