Shark Camo was inspired by the sand tiger shark aggregations that occur off the North Carolina coasts, not too far from where our shirts are printed. We got the idea from images by friend and talented photographer, Tanya Houppermans, who has spent countless hours documenting this special slice of the Tarheel state's coast.Tanya, an honorary North Carolinian at this point, helped create Spot a Shark USA, which is a citizen-science program that helps scientists identify and track sand tiger shark movements through images captured by divers and snorkelers.
