.22 Hornet Standard Rifle - 1941

This is a nice .22 Hornet standard rifle produced in 1941 and is equipped from the factory with a Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight. The rifle grades in NRA very good condition. The stock is unmodified with the original steel buttplae. There are a number of light handling marks throughout the stock, but no cracks gouges or noteworthy blemishes. The stock appears to retain its original finish, but has had an additional coat of finish applied sometime in the past, evidenced by some finish in the checkering. The checkering remains well defined with no major blemishes, and is somewhat smoothed from handling. The bluing of the factory steel buttplate is beginning to show a brown patina. The original Winchester bluing of the rifle is about 90%-95%, with some edge wear and a few light blemishes from honest use.
