.257 Roberts Target Rifle - 1950
This is a Target rifle chambered in .257 Roberts, produced in 1950. The rifle retains the original factory bluing and stock finish with no added holes or other modifications. It grades in NRA very good condition. The stock is original in all respects with some handling wear but no significant cracks, gouges, splits, or repairs. It retains its original steel butt plate, which has some bluing wear and dings along the edges. The original bluing is very good, grading at better than 90% with normal edge wear from handling. The barrel has a series of light scratches on the underside. The floorplate is in near excellent condition; the trigger guard is in very good condition with some light scratches. There is notable bluing wear on the bolt knob. The bolt is serial number matched to the rifle. The rifle is equipped with a Lyman 48 receiver sight and a Lyman 77 globe front sight. The bore of the 24" barrel has light-to-moderate wear and heat cracking in the throat, but no pitting, 8 out of 1
