.270 Winchester Standard Rifle - 1952

This .270 Win standard rifle was produced in 1952 at the peak of model 70 production. This is a superb example in all original factory-original finishes with no modifications. This rifle is from the first year of Monte Carlo comb production and has all correct features for this option, including the fold-down rear sight.  The rifle grades in NRA excellent approaching perfect condition. This is a collectible rifle in very high condition. The stock retains the original factory finish with no noted blemishes. This is from the period that Winchester was using excellent straight grain wood and a slight reddish tint to the stock finish. This is a nice stock with deep colored walnut. The factory steel buttplate and swivels are present with negligible wear.
