.30 Gov't '06 Bull Rifle - 1948
The Bull rifle was a factory standard offering from 1937 to 1951 and available by special order from 1955 to 1963. Only 844 were produced in .30-06 and another 1,862 in .300 H&H. This .30-06 rifle was produced in 1948 and is in very good to excellent condition overall. This is a transition era rifle with the cloverleaf tang and smooth rear bridge. It does not have the clip-slot. The metal is all original with original finishes, grading at 90% or better with wear on the bolt handle, extractor ring, and extractor. The bore has a section of shallow pitting and some throat wear resulting in a grade of a 6 of out 10. The stock has original finishes, including on the steel buttplate. There are no cracks, stains, modifications, or other notable problems; there are a few minor nicks in the grip.
