Talley Steel Scope Mount Bases

If you are wishing to step up to a more modern scope mount for your model 70, we believe the Talley mounting system is the best option on the market today. These very high quality all-steel bases, complete with mounting screws, are machined from solid steel and offer an attractive and robust mount for any size scope and any level of recoil.  Fitment guide: 252702 - This base fits standard and short magnum rifles with serial numbers above 66320. 25XX702 - This base is the same as 252702, but has an extended front mount for short-tube scopes.  252702TS - Same as 252702, but offers the wider "Talley Signature" base.  Receivers with serial numbers under 66320 can be made to work with this base but require the addition of two holes in the receiver bridge. 25X702TS - Same as 25702TS, but has an extended front mount for short-tube scopes. Receivers with serial numbers under 66320 can be made to work with this base but require the addition of two holes in the receiver bridge. 252704
