By Anthony TrollopeThe fine line drawings in this Franklin Library edition are by the English artist Edward Ardizzone (1900 - 1979) and include some of his best work. The son of an Italian father and an English mother, Ardizzone is regarded as one of the finest book illustrators of the twentieth century. Ardizzone illustrated the novels of three Victorian writers, Dickens, Thackeray, and Trollope, but he found the author of Barchester Towers the most congenial.Book Condition: Near Fine.
